The name change allowed for an organic opportunity to kickstart the next chapter of the organization and reflect the exciting facility and organizational changes ahead. 

Through careful consideration of the Board's goals we identified a color palette early on in the process that reflected the therapeutic nature of their work and provided a visual boost. Healing Wave Aquatics is able to utilize our color palette as they renovate their new facility, giving a permanent visual coherence of the brand from digital spaces to physical location. 

PART TWO

Healing Wave Aquatics came to us in search of a new identity that they would use to springboard into the next phase of their organization's history. Founded 10 years prior as The Wave Academy, they help veterans and those suffering from PTSD by providing proven aquatic therapy methods. Their problem was two-fold.

 

The first issue is that their name didn't properly convey who they are as an organization or what they provide. The Wave Academy received constant calls from people thinking they provided swim lessons or surf instruction. The second concern is that they had never properly branded when they started and they needed a visual identity that would be recognizable as they prepared to move into a larger facility and apply for grant money to expand their impact. 

Through keyword and SEO research and with considerations of their history, we presented the Board with a new name – Healing Wave Aquatics – that was indicative of what their organization provides while also updating their visual look to include a color palette and new logo that were in line with who they are and what they do.

Updated logo reflects the name change and utilizes colors that reflect therapy and wellbeing. Subconscious imagery representing waves, sun, and patient in aquatic treatment are key components of this logo.
